What Has Bush Done for Working People?

Joe and Jim are fired up again! Remember that measly $300 check Bush sent us the first year? Yeah, right. How much did that help your family?

Come to think about it, what have any Republicans done for working people?

Before you vote next Tuesday, check out the AFL-CIO’s Congressional Voting Record site to see how often (or not) your representatives and senators voted for working family issues.

I don't even remember what we did with our check but I do know we didn't buy a chain or condos or the like LOL

For the first time in my life I am going to vote all dem. I have never said or done that before.

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I will be thinking of you on election day. I know that the issues that you write about are a passion, and I can sense that you have a great view of what is best for the average citizen.

May you wake up on Wednesday with a smile on your face!

That's good stuff! Where did you find these guys?!

I'm with PoP -- straight ticket, as a message. A former Bush knob-polisher who has seen the light, Andrew Sullivan, said it best: This isn't an election; it's an intervention!

POP, I'm sensing a trend. I said I was going to vote a straight Democratic ticket sometime ago too.

Stephen, thank you so much for your kind words. I didn't realize my passion came through, but you're right...I want a better country for all of us, not just the privileged few. I'm hopeful this election will turn things around so that all people will be included at the banquet.

Frederick, thanks for stopping by. The two guys gave a series of interviews in New Jersey and the AFL-CIO blog has been hosting them. Click the link above the video to get to that blog.

Betty Cracker, the trend continues. I hadn't heard what Sullivan said, but I love it - too bad it's also true.
