Unhappiness in the Ranks

This is good news to wake up to:

"Dissatisfied with the nation's direction, Americans are leaning toward wanting a change in which political party leads Congress — preferring that Democrats take control, an AP-Ipsos poll found. Democrats are favored over Republicans 49 percent to 36 percent."

Gee, I guess Americans finally realized that the Republican's TRUTHINESS lacked one important quality - truth.

That is good news. I just hope voters remember all this come election time!

This is encouraging. But I always remember a story from a campaign I was emotionally involved in years ago. Same situation, polls showed an unnamed Dem beating the Republican incumbent by a pretty good margin.

I got all fired up in a strategy meeting and said, "it looks like even a cactus could beat this guy." And then, without looking up, the paid consultant said, "probably, but a catus doesn't have any negatives."

Take heart, this is a great starting point, but that's all it is.

Mikevotes, that's a good point. It's also just as important to get people to the polls on voting day. They can sit home all day and complain, but if they don't vote they just waste their breath.
