No more tax dollars for war

President Bush plans to ask Congress for up to $50 billion in additional funding for the war in Iraq. The cost of the war now exceeds $3 billion a week.

Enough is enough already. The Big Easy is still in trouble, the number of uninsured continues to grow, our infrastructure needs repairs and 36.5 million people are living in poverty. The war has wasted money that could have been used to help people here at home and abroad.

No wonder the rest of the world views us with such disgust. Our priorities are screwed up. We spend billions to destroy foreign countries and kill people, but we become miserly when it comes to using money for the common good.

What happened? When did we become a nation of
sociopaths?

In Bush's world, the Halliburton's and the Blackwater's mean more to the Bush way of life, than the thousands of poor and homeless Bush has left to die.

I ask for a little intellectual honesty and you come back with this crappy post.

“President Bush plans to ask Congress for up to $50 billion in additional funding for the war in Iraq.”

All Congress has to do is vote NO. However, if they do approve it I’m sure you’ll be all over Reid and Pelosi. Yeah…right.

The Big Easy is still in trouble (Mayor Ray Nagin, who's pleaded the case with Wall Street investors, acknowledges crime and corruption have hampered the city's ability to attract significant new business)
, the number of uninsured continues to grow (illegal aliens), our infrastructure needs repairs (most states have a budget surplus) and 36.5 million people are living in poverty (illegal aliens). The war has wasted money that could have been used to help people here at home and abroad (and most likely prevented a mushroom cloud over New York or LA).

“No wonder the rest of the world views us with such disgust” (links please). I suppose we can shut down our immigration offices. After all, who would want to move to a country that they disgust?

You’re hopeless. You, Larry and Dubya can go back to circle jerking each other.

Thanks for the link to Profile of the Sociopath. It fits Bill and Hillary Clinton like a glove.

Kathy, you're right about the world disliking us and here's the link to back that up. Golly, gee whiz. I'm an affable guy who just likes to have a good time and never thought this job would be so darn difficult. The world should cut me some slack.
