Can We Get a Refund?

Here's a bit of trivia from Andy Rooney I caught last night on 60 Minutes.
The president doesn't work alone. I have a list, and by my count, he has 433 assistants.

They make a total salary of $28,000,000.
That's $28 MILLION for people with titles like "Director of Lessons Learned" (with an annual salary of $106,000) or "Gift Analyst."

My favorite is "Ethics Advisor." Bush has two people who advise him on right from wrong. They've obviously done a lousy job. Do you think us taxpayers could get a refund?

To answer your question bluntly, hell yes. The right and wrong people are doing a "heck of a job". Seems incompetence is a job description requirement with this admin.

A grown man who needs two people to advise him on right and wrong. Sheesh!

I thought the same thing when I heard that. I'm surprised Rooney didn't make that comment.

And after seeing that Director of Lessons Learned job, my Official White House Nanny who sometimes graces my blog doesn't seem so far-fetched.

The people who keep repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results have a Director of Lessons Learned? The mind reels.

POP, under this administration we're seeing the dumbing down of America - and they're the role models.

Lew, I thought the exact same thing. Of course, it all goes back to parenting. What happened to George, Barbara?

Abi, I never noticed the Nanny on your blog before. Does she spread propaganda or complain about her boss?

Betty, the Director of Lessons Learned should be fired, but he/she is probably a crony friend who's being rewarded for party loyalty on the taxpayer's dime.

Good catch. I think the ethics advisors must be there to prevent any ethical behavior.
