Sharing the Links

Here are a couple of links I thought might interest you. The first one is from LiberIL View:
These bumper stickers were compiled by Jerry Paull, a former Methodist minister in Lakeside, Ohio who writes: "The following actual bumper stickers are now on cars. I didn't write any of them. I'm only the messenger. If they make you laugh, good. If they make you cry, good."

* POVERTY, HEALTHCARE & HOMELESSNESS ARE MORAL ISSUES

* BUSH LIED, AND YOU KNOW IT

* FEEL SAFER NOW?

* GEORGE W. BUSH: MAKING TERRORISTS FASTER THAN HE CAN KILL THEM

* THE LAST TIME RELIGION CONTROLLED POLITICS, PEOPLE GOT BURNED AT THE STAKE
LiberIL posted almost 40 bumper stickers, so click the link and enjoy the rest.

Finally, there's a rumor going around that Dick DeVos dropped out of the gubernatorial campaign. Click here to learn about Michigan's fate.

Where can you buy those bumper stickers at?
Too bad DeVos didn't drop out. i read a poll today where he was six points behind Granholm.

Those are some great bumper stickers. This one startled me a bit:

FACT: BUSH OIL
1999 - $19 BARREL
2006 - $70 BARREL

I hope Bush doesn't read that DeVos story. He wants to privatize everything else, why not go all the way and privatize the government? Halliburton could probably buy us.

Religious liberals? What the hell?

I think my favourite was "Of course it hurts, you're getting screwed by an elephant." Crass? Maybe. Accurate? Definitely...

Lew, try checking out e-bay. They sell just about everything. If I come across them while I'm surfing, I'll make a point to share the link with you.

Abi, I thought the same thing when I initially read that link. Actually, when you think of how many government services have been privatized and put in the hands of corporations, we're not too far away from becoming USA, Inc.

Mr. McWhite, thanks for dropping in. Did you know Jesus was a liberal? In reality, churches across this great land are filled with liberals, moderates, progressives and conservatives - just look around. They are the ones building houses for Habitat for Humanity, working in food banks, assembling care packages to send to third world countries, delivering meals on wheels, and attending to the myriad needs of people who are in need of help or are hurting.

Mike, that is a funny sticker, and sometimes crass is the only way to get the point across.

I love these stickers....and I live in Ohio- I have seen some here...I need these for my car...and my door..and my frig...and hell my own bumper...

( I am with Mike Bogle- screwed by an elephant)

Enigma, you're a neighbor! I didn't know you lived in Ohio.

DeVos is the GOP candidate for governor this year, but Jennifer Granholm is our current (Democrat) governor. He ran unopposed in the primary simply because no one else has the billions of $$$ his family has to run against him. This could end up backfiring on him (I hope). I have a couple of good Republican friends who weren't too happy they didn't have a choice of candidates in the primary. They're fiscal Republicans, but they don't like his fundie religious beliefs and estate tax scheme.

This info is for everyone. I searched for bumper stickers today and came up with pages of online stores where you can buy them. I don't want to recommend any since I don't have experience with any of them. However, I did come across a sticker I got a kick out of:

BUSH ECONOMY:
CAPITALISM FOR THE POOR
SOCIALISM FOR CORPORATIONS
