The system is broken and I don't see it improving as long as big business has so much influence over the gov't.

Libby, I think we're closer to a bust than anyone realizes too. I worry for our childrens' future. Will they ever be able to retire? Will they ever pay off their homes? How will they be able to provide for their families if they have to pay for their health insurance, cover their retirement, pay off the deficit, and keep a roof over their heads and food on the table with wages that have stagnated and even fallen in certain occupations? It's very worrisome.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06875378679299157108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18370478.post-1161558122145416542006-10-22T19:02:00.000-04:002006-10-22T19:02:00.000-04:00Love the closing line Kathy and a great post. I'm afraid we're closer to that than anybody realizes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18370478.post-1161538196854434122006-10-22T13:29:00.000-04:002006-10-22T13:29:00.000-04:00Not only is the country not doing great, but all t...Not only is the country not doing great, but all things considered, I've never seen it so bad. It's long past time to vote the ins out.

Problem is, I see the Democrats as being better than the Republicans only by degrees. Americans are nowhere near ready to make the kinds of changes that will really turn us around. So the wealthy will be getting the gold mine and the rest of us the shaft for well past my lifetime and your readers', too.abihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12836114144939639262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18370478.post-1161502265773738452006-10-22T03:31:00.000-04:002006-10-22T03:31:00.000-04:00Yep, the economy is great.....if your richYep, the economy is great.....if your richGraemehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04230080850680753260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18370478.post-1161397206207393732006-10-20T22:20:00.000-04:002006-10-20T22:20:00.000-04:00It's the convenient use of facts again.
